Shadow of Mordor/Shadow of War felt like a LOTR themed Assassins Creed to me. Also, Shadow of War is pretty decent as well, the story picks up where Shadow of Mordor left off, if you're interested to see the rest of the story. It improves on the Nemesis system a bit. This is the better of the two options in almost any case. Check out my Shadow of War: The DOs and DONTs (Beginners Guide) to learn important tips that will give you a nice head-start in the game. I’ve also got a ton of other useful guides in both written and video format. You can find them in the Shadow of War Guides category. Shadow of War is sequel, with more gameplay options and difficulty sliders. Its something like batman or assasins creed games, more about fighting than being stealthy or free running. So which one is better dude? for example i can say fallout 2 is better than 1. it is sequel not answer xd Play shadow of mordor first to get a feel for the characters and the nemesis system, then jump into shadow of war and be excited about how much the nemesis system improved Reply [deleted] • Shadow of War, though, relies on random gems to drop from the tougher enemies, making the process simple but almost separate to actual gameplay. Where the two diverge is combat.
War is definitely a better game overall hands down. The nemesis system expands so much from the previous system. So in that as aspect, war beats mordor. The stories are connected. War continues where mordor left off. I think this depends on how important story is to you. Are you willing to go through 30 hours of gameplay just for story?
