This is my experience with cross-platform voice chat. I did voice chat with friend (I'm on pc, he's on series x) about 2-3 days ago. Actually only he talking, i don't have mic and use normal chat. It works fine for about 30 minutes. And after that it shown his mic turned off in my game, but he said it is still shown on in his game.
